Taormina is an ancient walled city perched high on a cliff above the Ionian Sea, about 30 min South of Messina. Upon arrival we were greeted by a choice of rental cars: Ferrari or Lamborghini? Overnight we traveled from Argostoli, Greece to Messina, Sicily, a brief jaunt across the Ionian Sea. It was a calm passage. Messina is charming and welcoming, with a nice harbor.
